To assist you in meeting your quality of care and business
objectives, GMD created a low-cost, integrated solution for
instant collaboration between health care providers. We have
combined the benefits of our EMR with our optional Video Consulting
feature into a single, affordable subscription offering.
 Our
Video Consulting option extends your reach. The integration
of voice, video, and data enables you to support multiple
clinics or practice locations concurrently. Simultaneous Video
Consulting sessions allow several health care providers at
the same time to assist peers, confer with specialists, support
less skilled or less experienced practitioners, conduct training,
participate in instant messaging dialogs, or interview a distant
patient.
GMD’s Video Consulting function serves as a means for
data exchange, shared patient record reviews, procedure guidance,
training for multi-location staff, and specialty consultation
between physicians or between a physician and some other health
care provider. Our Video Consulting function can also be used
to “transport” a consulting physician from an
urban medical center to a remote rural clinic where specialized
expertise is needed.
Video Consulting supports enhanced decision making through
the collaboration of conferring practitioners. A referring
physician, the consulting physician, the patient, and even
the patient’s family can meet via Video Consulting.
Ordinarily, the patient would meet with each party in separate
meetings, losing much of the advantage of synergistic group
dialog and understanding. Our approach means more active and
timely patient involvement, thereby, improving the quality
of care.

 GMD’s
e-Health Method™ is based on software components
that have been proven over as many as twenty years in physician
practices, clinics, and hospitals throughout the health industry.
The GMD Technical Team has designed an electronic business
solution which integrates the best available clinical and
video consulting software components available for physician
practices. Major functions included are online consulting
tools, clinical support, training, and maintenance. The robust
clinical function in e-Health Method™
is based on VistA.
Using a desktop, notebook, or laptop computer that includes
the e-Health Method™ client software, providers and
authorized practice staff will be able to log into the central
e-Health Method™ servers from any location
with an Internet connection.

Planning Support:

clients use GMD’s planning facilitation experts to
create migration/transition plans. The resulting custom
plans enable clients to significantly
reduce loss of productivity and avoid costly delays during
their transition to e-Health Method™.
The GMD planning workshop facilitation team provides
a “low
tech, high touch” approach in its Stakeholder
Planning Method (SPM). The custom migration plans produced using SPM
and GMD facilitation are based on the cross-organization
points-of-view of physicians, other medical professionals,
